This is the first chapter of the Senki Zesshou Symphogear manga.
Plot
The world is dominated by enemies known as "Noise". A group known as Special Disaster Response Team Division 2, is using FG-type power armour known as Symphogear to combat the Noise. The Symphogear users are the popular vocal duo known as Zwei Wing: Kanade Amou and Tsubasa Kazanari.
Ryōko Sakurai and Genjuro Kazanari are presenting the Symphogear to some high-ranking government officials in order get approval for "further research into the black art technology", starting with Project N (the Nehushtan Armor). However, the officials are skeptical, and disapprove of the inhumane experiments that are part of the project.
Suddenly, a Noise attack threatens the meeting, and Tsubasa and Kanade must rush over to get their relics and save the day. After seeing the Gear users' spectacular display of power, the officials decide to give Division 2 approval for Project N. Genjuro gives the officials promotional materials for Zwei Wing, as the girls rush off to a studio to do a rehearsal.
Somewhere else, a young Hibiki Tachibana is talking to Miku Kohinata on the phone. Miku got tickets to a Zwei Wing concert, and Hibiki, who's never been to a live show before, agrees to come along.
Trivia
- For the first time we see the pill box on Kanade's chest. That is LiNKER in pill form.
- At the end of the chapter we see the other Zwei Wing concert outfits for the first time.These outfits did not appear in the anime.
