Summary[]
With the help of a mental projection of Dr. Ver, Maria and Elfnein delve deeper into Maria's consciousness to find the last piece of the LiNKER puzzle. It turns out that the drug (and the Symphogear system as a whole) works by connecting to its user's "love", a feeling of self-sacrifice for the sake of others.
Meanwhile, the alchemists are attacking an airport, hoping to draw out and destroy the Gear users with a new self-replicating Alca-Noise. Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris are having a tough time, but thanks to Elfnein's quick work, Maria's team soon shows up to even the odds.
With their airship destroyed and their monsters beaten, the alchemists are backed into a corner. The Gear users question them about their motives, and surprisingly, Saint-Germain reveals that they intend to take control of the Lunar Ruins and deactivate the Curse of Balal.

Trivia[]
- Bizarrely, a sign in Maria's flashback to her early F.I.S. days features half-legible lyrics from Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up', aka Rickroll.
